The Kan Tan leaves Geelong
The Kan Tan oil rig, which has been in Geelong for the past couple of months for repairs, left Geelong today. I went down to Point Lonsdale to watch it as it negotiated the treacherous waters of the rip. I wasn’t disappointed! Yesterday, June 6th, the Kan Tan IV semi-submersible oil rig was towed into Geelong for repairs. I was poking around Portarlington looking for photos when I saw it in the distance moving up the channel.
