Corio Bay, Geelong

Heather Hartkamp

Corio Bay, Geelong

A stormy evening and eerie light. A bit of tone-mapping to accentuate the colour. The promenade looks like the bow of a ship jutting out into the bay. Corio Bay, Geelong.

Yes the promenade does indeed look loke the bow of a ship, and it leads the eye far enough into the picture for the Pier to then take over, giving way to the wonderful You Yangs in the distance. What a great example of depth, not to mention the soft bay water contrasting against the beautiful cloudy sky.
