?What Cards Are Dwelt?

What cards we are dealt?

Some have silver trimmed rims, while others can’t seem to keep the dust from forming on the top leaving the contents unreadable.

What cards are we dealt?

Some will say it’s the luck of the draw, the dealer’s choice. Other claim you make your own luck, you deal from a deck created of your own life.

What cards are we dealt?

Born with a full house in hand? I think so. You are born with a full house in hand, a silver spoon in mouth.

You don’t make your own luck, you are born into it with the cards you were dwelt.

The hand dealt, you were born into poverty, now what? now where? now who? now how?

Who are you? Who will you become?

This way of thinking keeps you down? Down is looking up and having no choice in where to go next because you are at the last choice.

What cards we are dealt?

Patricia, how well done as I was born with stumps and I did what I knew best to rise from that to be who I am and that is good my friend, you are still the best always….all my love Normaje.

  • Thank you Norma , My daughter was born with a few learning problems that she should have went to a special school for to be honest, but because we are poor and there is no money in the state of CA to set a side for kids like my daughter she has a very hard time and most likely won’t make it in high school but will have to finish in middle colleges if they even still are around when she’s older. Such an unfair mess here in the states. I’m glad you like this poem :) xoxoxxo
