CAUGHT
A bit of fun in honor of my friend Gayla who will KNOW who this is about, LOL
CAUGHT belongs to the following groups:
AW Welcome Center, FAN FRENZY, Midnight Ramblers, Pop Art, Real Men Wear Tights , Safe Haven and The Word TreeSniff Sniff. He took the air in hard as she walked across the yard to meet him.
His eyes narrowed and a shot of heat ran up his stiff spine. Dare she come any closer? She dared! Her mistake.
Once more he took in the air that told him the true story of what went on last night.
“Where ya been all night?” he inquired calmly and even toned, knowing damn well the answer.
“I was at my sister’s house, remember?” She answered, trying to look puzzled.
“Really?” he quickly replied in a sharp direct manner.
“Yes really, she stated with a smile, trying to make light of it. But the look in his eyes. The controlled anger and disappointment told her she would soon lose this battle of deception. Ignoring that ‘still small voice’ inside, she pressed forward. She reach up to throw her arms around his neck when they were blocked by 2 iron gripping hands.
“You think I’m some kind of play thing? You’re thinking all wrong lady,” he informed her.
“See, I’m not the kind of guy you can lie to, so I suggest you come clean, and be quick about it.” he informed her, almost warning her of some great danger she might be in.
But the foolish woman ignored the warning and went forward with her silly game. There was no way he could have ever known for a fact, he was just guessing! So she thought. No solid proof. None at all, she arrogantly convinced herself.
“Oh you’re being silly! I told you I was with my sister all night, now stop acting foolish.”
He let her hands go and moved slowly until he was right in her face looking her in both eyes, and without a blink, he sniffed her. She responded with a puzzled look as she tried to laugh it off.
“Oh, is this your way of being cute?’ she asked with a coy smile.
“I ain’t being cute,” he informed her, almost insulted. “And neither are you for that matter!” he barked as the strong scent of strange male hit his nose like a tone of bricks.
A cold streak ran down her back but she tried to play it off. Fear set in against her will. That only added to his aggravation. The scent of another man mixed with fear told him just one thing…. she was CAUGHT. Caught like a rat in a trap.
“One thing I can’t STAND in a dame is a gutless liar,” he informed her with conviction. “You reek of HIM and the stink of fear is all over ya. You’re standing there, looking at me straight in the eyes and you LIE right to my face,” he finished.
“I am NOT!” she tries to state, but is too dumbfounded to make it believable. “How dare you accuse….” She’s cut off.
“Tell it to the choir, lady!” he states as he turns around and walks away leaving her standing there alone.

Sweet piece!!! I too have little use for liars and cheats having been one in my youth and having ruined many a beautiful spirit.
Anyone who says “Once a cheater, always a cheater” is full of shit and I am the living proof and deplore cheaters and liars, lol.

i believe it is possible to change. Sex does not rule every man’s life. Some have controle and some have honor. if you have been there and back, then you have learned a great lesson some never even think of. That is something to be proud of. :)

Ouch!!!!!!!!you go I remember a few of these.. ahhh the release of no longer in the age nor the mind set to attract these … and when i am ready.. to attract the sweet man.. he will come..if I am never ready..ah well RB is kinda fillin in the gaps!!! lol thanks love.

mmmmm. I myself have never felt the sting, but I know a lot who have. it’s a very painful thing, makes one’s view warped. it’s good to know you haven’t let them rule your feelings about all men. hang in there girl, a wonderful, beauty like you will find a good egg one day. keep the faith.

It’s funny the reactions this piece has gotten….some see him in the wrong and as the agressor, and others see her in the wrong for being a liar and a cheat….
I like this piece a lot for 3 reasons…1. Great writing as always! 2. I love tha Wolfies! 3. The reactions of others….really interesting!

LOL Well honestly he isn’t in the wrong, she is. She is the cheater. But he may be a bit on the agressive side, yet that may not make him wrong, she knew what she was getting into in the first place. That’s more than likely what she was doiong with a guy like that anyway… some dames just love agressive males. LOL
