TURBULENCE

the earth seemed to shake
as he walked by
something very deep about
the man
his eyes exhibited a fire
i had never seen before
yet, he had an animal
magnetism about him
regrets weighed upon his heart
a yearning stirred within me
i wanted to race into his arms
and yet I feared him
he walked with a certainty
yet, with caution
as if, perhaps, he was being followed
there was a turbulence in the atmosphere
i could feel the earth shake
beneath my feet
as if a tsunami was approaching
the wind blew with force
and anger
hail fell from the sky
the earth opened
and he disappeared
