A little about the “Think Lizards” card series:
I was blessed a few years back to visit and take photographs at Mr. John Binns’ home. Mr. Binns has over 50 Iguanas on the premises and in his care. They are fascinating to see. He has several breeds such as the Giant Green Iguana, a tropical iguana also known as the Common Green whch is the iguanas most pet owners have. He also has Rock Iguanas and Rhino Iguanas, which can live to be 100 years old! He also had a hybrid of the rare Blue Rock Iguana, an endangered species. Born in Dunoon-Argyll, Scotland, Patricia Anne McCarty has studied art most of her life. Patricia is an artist of many interests and skills in both the fine arts as well as commercial art. Patricia works traditionally in Sculpture using both bronze and clay, She also is a story Writer, a Poet and Lyrical Writer, Patricia has studied and can use photography as an art, and with in her art. She specializes in Digital Airbrush Painting.

Lovely series, Patricia, how wonderful and important this is.
Fantastic photograph. I appreciate your narrative on the importance of learning how to care for repitles before purchasing them and neglecting their basic needs. Like dogs, cats and other animals in danger due to abuse and neglect, it is critical to inform people that sentient creatures like the beautiful Sparticus is not toy for adults or children and when taken out of their natural habitat, they are dependant on us for their survival. Education is critically important. People will buy dalmations after their children see the movie 101 Dalmations because they are cute without any knowledge whether the breed suits their family. So many animals end of in pounds because of people’s lack of understanding how much care is necessary to raise healthy and happy animals or reptiles. They are not like Wegman’s Weimreiner’s who exist in his fairy tales of Little Red Riding Hood and Cinderella. It is hard work that requires responsibility and committment to whatever creature we choose to love and nourish. Your photograph is wonderful and i love your message hoping more people will listen to your great advice.
Great photo Patricia, he looks like he is smiling at us, very cool! And more important is your words and how you are supporting the cause! Such true words, we must all learn about our pets before we consider buying either a lizard, snake or a cat or a dog :)
Hi Patricia – that’s a great photo! I love lizards, especially iguanas, and I love the purpose behind this series. It’s great that you are sticking up for them, when a lot of people REALLY don’t think things through when purchasing these kinds of animals as pets. I will definately add a card into my next order.
