No home blues by

Another bit of exploration in the homeless project – Robert and I went out shooting last night – we wandered for a few hours.

And the only thing I worked out was that I felt like an intruder in someone else’s home. It’s easy to ignore the homeless – it’s much harder to try to acknowledge them.

I worked with the homeless a few years ago while in England….outreach work.
I always went to my comfy home at the end of the day… and partly discontinued working for the charity, because I couldn’t afford to continue ..ironic eh?

Very nicely and truly put Sara. This image encourages relfection and consideration…nice one.

Sara, a great narrative. Your photo, understated and manificent is so in keeping with your message. Great work.

Thanks guys – I’m really struggling with this subject – trying to get across a concept without being too “in your face” with it. More wandering and musing is called for I think.

Is it a persons legs at the left? if it wasn’t s/c i don’t think i would have noticed. Nice decision to do so.

  • Yep – another set of legs :) That’s why I chose selective colour for this shot – then the name emerged afterwards.

“And the only thing I worked out was that I felt like an intruder in someone else’s home. It’s easy to ignore the homeless – it’s much harder to try to acknowledge them.” Using your own words I know but that say’s it all really. There is one other viewpoint that is scary and that is those that are violently opposed to the homeless, in Barcelona and in other places attacks have been horrific.
