Call for Artists

Posted over 2 years ago

As some of you may know, or are just finding out….

I’ve started a new business – ARTsnic. ARTsnic incorporates the photography I’ve already been doing for some time, along with a custom art framing service and art sales and leasing.

As part of the sales and leasing service, I offer a consultation service for clients to help them find art they love. Basically, a sort of …

Today's shoot

Posted about 3 years ago

I had an absolutely wonderful experience today, shooting in the Blue Mountains. I wish I had time to process all the photos, but life seems to be interrupting me tonight, so I want to post just one now to show the people who participated that it was not for nothing – this is the beginning of the shoot – when we were still trying to keep the dress clean :)

Shots of the good stuff R…

I am currently showing several works at the Aroma Cafe in Springwood. They should be there for about a month – if you’re in the area stop in for a great cup of coffee and a friendly chat with Charlie – he loves art and showcases many local artists on the walls of his cafe.

Portrait session - thanks Kym :)

Posted over 3 years ago

Lately I’ve been trying to build my portfolio for portraits, and have called for models to assist me.

One brave lady who stepped forward is redbubble’s own Kym Breeze. She’s currently exhibiting some of her work in Warriewood, her first interstate exhibition, and kindly volunteered to help me out.

She’s expecting a CD of images, and I just wanted to post to let her know t…

Well yay – I’m pleased as punch to host a new group along with Lorraine Creagh, called Drive By Shooting .

This group is for anyone who loves to shoot from their car – it’s a strange addiction of mine. I do it a lot when I’m a passenger – and sometimes when I’m driving too!

I hope all you car cam junkies will join and start submitting your driveby image…

Rolling on the rocks (or wtf???)

Posted over 3 years ago

Recently I was invited to a performance art show at the Casula Powerhouse. Now I went along innocently, thinking all would still be on the right side of normal. I really should have known better.

You see, I was invited by this man, aka bodymechanic

As much as I trust Steve, I should have known something was odd when I saw this in the distance:

Anyway, more about that later. It certainly was …

I’m thrilled that some of my images have been selected for the Sydney Morning Herald slideshow (and for the exhibition of course!)

See the show here and listen to Jeff’s explanation of why he began this project and how he’s brought us all together for a great cause.

No Home - latest project

Posted almost 4 years ago

Recently, Robert Knapman asked me to join him on a project that another Sydney artist – Jeffrey Hamilton – is organizing. It’s something completely out of my experience, and really a stretch for me. I’m really flattered to be asked, but struggling to get started.

The project is called “No Home”, and is an exploration of homelessness in Sydney. Not a pretty …
