Red door

i really like this!! great contrast.

Thanks – I love the feeling of this area – with the old buildings in the city. The red door by the way is real – it’s the only part of the photo that I didn’t desaturate to black and white.

This is a little reminiscent of a shot I tried to get last time I was in Sydney. In the Rocks area, there was a restuarant with a little door on a staircase, with a light above it. I’d waited in the rain until it was dark, and in the end it just didn’t work.
Your photo does, and I’m usually not a fan of selective desaturation!

I really like this…. perfect selective coloring…. brings me right into teh photograph and gives me a sense of involvment…. almost like a still shot from a 60’s spy movie.
