thanks so much Anne! -good to hear from you :))
now that is some delicate work… totally love that tree! Like something out of the cat and the hat!
yes, so Suess-like! I thought so myself…amazingly, it looks even more surreal in person.thanks so much for coming by Paul! :))
Goodness, do you know what the trees are? That’s a labour of love, keeping them pruned like that! Reminds me of bonsai gone crazy!
aren’t they something?!? I hear they may actually be Junipers, tho I’ve never seen Junipers like these, LOL They have been there for many decades and I waited for the mid-morning sunshine to also get the cool shadows. I have more images of work from these truly dedicated gardeners and may post a few more as they approach their work as an almost spiritual practice. Yes, I agree, bonsai gone crazy!! lovely to see you Mel :)))
This is amazing, they must have the patience of saints to keep this up!! Wonderful framing and what a gorgeous little house
they do have incredible patience and there are some stunning gardens as well, one of my favorite places to visit. yes, I love the little house as well! so great to see you here… :))
Brill photo and really dedicated pruning.I’ve done something similar with a cottoneaster but only about 8 feet tall. (Nearly 3 meters)Cheers Neil
Thank you Neil! these trees have been there for as long as I can remember, and always pruned to perfection. good luck with your cottoneaster!
