wow – this is stunning for me… perfect horizontals and verticals… love how you have framed this and exposed one human element… sensational work!

Paul, you’re making my day again by favoriting this image!! truly. & WoW as well. and I was doubtful about uploading it. -must rearrange my brain cells. I’m looking forward to your next & perhaps “fruitful” images ;) thank you so much….
deepbluwater
Thank you, Paul, you are so kind! It’s such an incredibly grand space, it felt best to have the human element. I do, however, think I have plenty to learn about handling that much light well. Many thanks for your observations & comments, sooo much appreciated!!

Thank you, Kriss! It’s the Salk Institute designed by Louis Kahn. I was there last Tuesday and it’s a photographer’s dream!! My three most recent photos are from there and more in the chute. many thanks again for taking the time to comment & say Hello!!
jeez, almost stuck the reply in the wrong area again, such bad habits in only weeks!!

Wow, this is magnificent. – the straight lines, that wonderful;y large negative space and the one small human presence, plus the wonderfully handled lighting, they all come together beautifully.
deepbluwater replied
many thanks for your kind comments! it’s an amazing space and lends itself so well to photography – it was an absolute pleasure being there, thanks again! ;)
CLiPiCs
worry not,
I still do it too and then have to cut and paste into the right place DOH!
mind you I haven’t been here too long either :-)

I like the sense of mass here…...the fact that you kept the “open air” part perfectly square is great – and the inclusion of the person crucial to the shot to show scale. Nice work B – I can’t wait to get there one day!
deepbluwater replied
thank you so much, Julian! with that courtyard being so stunning is was difficult to choose which image to upload & the woman resting in the sun made the decision for me. Perhaps I’ll add another at some time to show the symmetry of the space. I can’t wait to hear & see your images and reactions when you visit there!! ahh, -love buildings….
John Platt
Just voted for this in the open spaces challenge. A wonderful image, a sense of scale with the sunbather and lovely composition. Love it

Cool pic-like the scale & how its framed also like the layers of blue that seem to be entensified by the wall of concrete-nicely done!
deepbluwater replied
Thank you so much Ron! this was such a great place to shoot, and that special concrete was created just for these buildings. thanks so much for appreciating the details!!
