“Painting is something I do…Art is what I live.” What’s up! My name is Charles “Deeda” Deshields. I currently live in Chicago but previously I lived in Petersburg, Virginia for a long time. Born in Germany to military parents, I’ve lived in some of the best military bases tax money can build. By the time I was in high school, I had attended ten different schools and lived in five different states. Art was the constant thing in my life. Where I go I can always take art with me. That’s what I’ve done, I’ve shared and taught as much art as I can. I was taught that a real Artist must reach people, by making their artwork accessible to them, that is exactly what I am attempting to do. I am consistently trying to improve my skills and range in art. Through my art, it is my intention to create an image the viewer can instantly connect with. I hope I accomplished my goal, enjoy.
