tiger swallowtail butterfly on unusual background by dedmanshootn
this western tiger swallowtail flew right to the door of the restaurant where i work – in bellingham, washington, usa – and rested on the jamb unafraid of anyone going in or out so i was able to get a close up shot on my break. these are rare visitors here in the city so we felt especially blessed. this one is dedicated to the bosses, my “family” at the restaurant where i work – when i can – who thought this beauty a sign of great good luck
