Taken in Albany, Western Australia. 3 bracketed exposures processed in Photomatix and finished off in Topaz Adjust.
Cheynes IV was the last whale chaser to hunt from the Albany Whale Station and is now located at the ‘Whale World’ museum having been restored to its former state.

    I remember seeing this ship at the wharf at Albany whilst it was still in use. It was rusty and beaten by the severe weather it operated in, looked almost neglected until one looked at the sharp end where the business of the hunt stood tall and gleaming and looking dangerous. As a sailor the ship impressed me at the time. Love your composition here!
