We have had heavy storms and rain for the last few days here in the south-west of Western Australia and it chucked it down like a monsoon when I took this image from my verandah in Bridgetown.

Thank you for looking at my work. I use a Canon 450D and 7D with Canon and Tamron lenses. Some of my work is manipulated in software, often using textures and sometimes blending with 2 or more images.

Glad it wasn’t Open Garden day! Super photo Elaine – one for the archives!

  • Thanks Peter. We shall be opening the garden this year. The first time we opened it didn’t rain, but we had a 6ft snake in one of the flower beds.

    Nice one, Elaine.
I was wondering how you kept your lens dry then read your note.
    Well done.

  • Thanks Ken. It’s quite awesome to be able to be outside looking at torrential rain, but not getting wet.
