North Quay, Fremantle, Western Australiaby Elaine Teague
This was the scene at 5.45pm on Sunday 30.1.11 as Ex Tropical Cyclone Bianca made its way inland. The cyclone, that had become a rain bearing depression, ended up being a complete fizz with hardly any wind or rain. It just looked alot worse than it really was. I haven’t changed this to black and white – it is naturally black and white. Bit different to Cyclone Yasi in North Queensland!!!! Love this image…looks great in mono! Love the light on the ocean and the silhouette in the foreground! :-)
Thanks Carol. Oddly enough, I didn’t shoot in mono and haven’t converted the image to mono. It’s just the colours as they were at the time.
Ohhhhhh Elaine, Lori and I went up to Trigg to shoot on this day. Would have love to have met up with you while you were up. Hopefully another time? Absolutely love how you’ve captured the light on the water, it’s beautiful
Thanks Kymie. I would love to catch up with you some time, but am only ever in Perth for just a couple of days due to doggy responsibilities. However, this situation may change in the not too distant future as one of them is on her last legs, literally.

Looks great Elaine, I like the sivery water.
Thanks Sharon. The clouds had just covered the sun, but not enough to get some shimmer on the water.

Was a fizz wasnt it? Couldnt believe the lack of rain! Nice shot tho!
Thanks Adrian. I think over a few days Bridgetown actually got more rain than Perth, mostly from the storm that went inland a couple of days before.

Ooh – dark and stormy!! Great atmospheric shot Elaine :))
Thanks Penny. I was kind of surprised, but pleased the way this turned out in black and white.
