A superb shot and love the title x

  • Thanks Irene. I actually grow these gourds and decoupage them. We have just the right conditions here for them to dry out.

Are they edible they look a bit like butternut squash . ?

  • No, not edible. They are from the pumpkin family. Green, heavy and full of water before they dry out and become very light and carry all their seeds inside. I usually cut off the tops to make decoupaged bowls of them and use the seeds to grow more the following year.
