I’ve walked along here a few times! We rather like Leeman and there’s a very pleasant view from the lookout at the south end. Nice treatment on this shot and it makes for an attractive card. Peter

Ya now I’m liking this too. I’m going to suggest a de-noise filter or smoothing maybe via glow effects if you have them. When you start getting HDR values crancked up it can happen where the noise (blotches) start to appear a mild attempt at smoothing them out with noise filters is always another great layer to blend it (potentially with a mask that is the opposite of an edge detection if you wanna really get advanced with that idea, some of them potentially do that for you).
For specific filter names I’ll suggest Imagenomic Noiseware Pro and TopazLabs De-Noise.

  • Hi James, thanks heaps for featuring this image. I’m noting what you say about noise and I do have Topaz De-Noise already – it came with the Topaz package. Thanks for that.

  • Hi James, I’ve removed the texture that was overlaying this image and also run it through Topaz De-Noise.
