Taken at Bella Vista on Blackwood in Bridgetown, WA.

Bella Vista is a 100 year old house owned by two Bridgetown artists. The gallery is sometimes open to the public as well as the delightful garden. Lots of interesting bits and pieces to see here as well as the fascinating gourd growing area.

Wow must remember to time my next trip down there to it. Looks like a wonderful spot.

  • Well worth a visit Gary. It’s open during the Festival of Country Gardens 5-8 November.

Someone is going to have to do an awful lot of cooking. LOL
Great shot Elaine, well done on the HDR work.
    David xx

  • Thanks David. You don’t COOK gourds, you decorate them or just simply varnish them.

I thought they were like pumpkins and other squash.
Now I recall, many years ago, when the children were small I grew some miniature gourds in our back garden, they were brightly coloured and all knobby. Definitely not edible. LOL
    David xx

  • They are of the pumpkin family David, just not edible. I grow them and decoupage them as well.
