Canon 450D. Canon lens 18-55mm.

This shop is now a piece of history as it appears in this image. In September 2010 the Christmas Shop moved further down the main street and the decor is very different. This ‘old’ Christmas Shop is a different shop altogether now and the decor has been painted out.

I think a few of your shops must have changed hands as well as their type of trade since we were last there (which was only about a year ago) I don’t ever recall seeing this one but what a great photo it makes. The old stonework coupled with the red and green painted finish really do make a wonderful subject for your camera. Great work indeed. Peter

  • Thanks Peter. The Christmas Shop has been here at least for the last 4 years. I couldn’t get the shot I wanted because there’s a rather large tree smack bang in front of the shop. Perhaps that’s why you missed it. It’s actually up for sale at the moment.

How quaint… I like the composition Elaine… Cant imagine they do much business for several months of the year! xx

  • Surprisingly this little shop does quite well, especially from tourists and it’s extremely well stocked.
