This red house was a project entitled ‘Musique Royale’ and was undertaken by Peter Johansson for the 2004 Liverpool Biennial. The prefab house is a Swedish music box installed on the South Lawn at the Pier Head and played Abba’s ‘Dancing Queen’ every day. The inside of the house is as red as the outside and is equipped with a kitchen, toilet, sink and bath, also all red.
