Definitely a highlight of our time in Paris. Although it was summer and we had missed the spring bulbs, Monet’s garden was an absolute delight. It was very cottage style with lines of flowers beds covered in roses, peonies, an assortment of annuals and not a space in between this glorious display.

The capture of the person in this shot gives a superb sense of scale – excellent image

  • Thanks Chris. I took this from an upstairs window of the house. Interesting comment you made, because I hadn’t thought of the person adding much to the photo.

The two people make us see how large the beautiful garden is!

  • Yes they do, but in actual fact the garden is even wider than you see here and then of course there’s the Japanese garden with the bridge, but I’ve only got one shot of that as we weren’t able to have has much time there as we wanted. It was a coach trip.

this is beautiful, Elaine! I was there in the summer of 1997 and it rained – still beautiful, but I just have to go back on a sunny day!

  • It is a beautiful garden Leslie. I hope you are able to go back when the sun shines. I would like to see it in spring when all the bulbs would be flowering.
