The Nut is a State Reserve and costs nothing to enter. You can get to the top on foot (takes about 15 mins) or take the chairlift. The views from the top are spectacular. The rock itself is the plug of an extinct volcano and is about 150 metres in height. There is a trail walk around the edgeonce reaching the top and it only takes about 45 mins to walk around it.

Love this picture! what an unusual rock formation, you could almost believe it a medieval fort.
    Regards & Fave

  • Agree Mike. Would have made a good fort. Thanks for the comment and fave.
