Like a finely crafted piece of jewellery…

  • Oh, yes, perhaps I should’ve called it filigree. Wish I knew what it is.

I’ve just gone thru 10 pages of Australian Trees…no luck. Do you have any idea if there were seeds/fruit/flowers to these? Or do you by chance have a full-view image of the tree or of the bark?

  • Sorry Carla, this is all I’ve got. I did wonder if it was lichen hanging from the trees, but it was everywhere hanging off trees. I think it will be too difficult to identify. Perhaps someone familiar with Tasmania and the rain forests will come up with something.

By chance do you have Weeping Willows around?

  • Well, yes, but didn’t see any that I recall in this particular rain forest.

Ok…we don’t have them much in my area but was thinking with the beautiful draping of these branches, they just kind of reminded me of them. :o) I know the US and Australia did a tree exchange years ago…swapping some of the Gum trees for Redwoods….was wondering if this was similiar thing
