Life & Death: The In Between Years
Life & Death: The In Between Years belongs to the following groups:
All Things Poetic, Artistic, PhilosophicalAnd so we are born
To the Light
And the overhead lamps swing, swing
Casting shadows
From Dark to Light
And back again
Between our course beginnings
And our staggering endings
Our life paths wind
But… between our Life and our Death
Something else there resides
And the years pass by
As those lamps illuminate
Our upturned faces
And our friends pass by
Sparking bright hot flares in their wakes
Our own wakes we leave behind
Choppy and peaked
Or sedate, mellow and calming
And beneath all our wakes lies
The Dark of Sleep

Sensitive and soulful writing…

Mark this is really moving. I’ve read it under one of images – but it does deserve its own place as a profound piece of writing. So well written, so heartfelt!

This really spoke volumes to me…......I stood in the middle of this verse and saw it flow around me, a verse to reflect gently upon….and also maybe to confront ourselves as well….... I guess it depends were the individual is in their emotional evolution…X

I agree with Arcadia’s comment…so true.
