great style of reportage Mark, and in #3, that solitary eye keeping his gaze on you is fantastic
Tracy Wallace
I gotta get out more. Nice doco JE :)
Shanina Conway
Great shots Mark…fantastic, you certainly captured the demo !
Anne van Alkemade
great photos Mark. Really really fantastic work
Cathy Middleton
Wow, great emotion. I love #6, such a timeless shot.
Matt Duncan
Great job Mark. I was curious to see what you captured from that event.
I have a sense of what the protest was like, from what you’ve shown. The size of the turn out, and the diversity of the people.
#11 and #14 are standout images for me, as they seem to convey the moment very well.
I had to have a chuckle at the boys in #4. I think that image certainly has a life of it’s own, with the sign, and their expressions, standing alone in a crowd of adults.
Thanks Mark, Looking forward to more.
Tony Middleton
nice strong collection of images Mark ! I agree with the attendees…get rid of Brumby !
AnaCBStudio
Excellent work Mark…thanks for sharing…

I read the link…. WAY bizarre! I can’t believe they are entertaining this thought. Along the lines of hiking up the prices on “Alco-pops” to try and battle binge drinking. They are just making the problem worse because sales of bottles of hard liquor have now increased.
Some fantastic shots here Mark… number 12 would make a great stand alone image.

Thanks :)
#12 was taken from the hip, using the IR hash on her face for focus, then a not-so-subtle flash hehe :)
Rhana Griffin
Ahhhhhh….. I see your hip shooting method has improved out of sight since the beginning of the year! =)
Lisa Jewell
1, 6, 7, 8, 10, (12 – HOT and a stand alone) 14, are my favs…..a brilliant body of work.
I reiterate, I really enjoy your photojournalistic journals.
Brett Foster
Very cool photojournalism Mark. Great shooting.
Bruce Watson
Looks like it was fun Mark. I like the ‘slipknot’ dude in the forensic squad suit. The Beasties’ ‘You’ve got to fight for your right – to party’ surely must have been ringing out somewhere.
Caroline Gorka
12 is brillinat…but a general great photojounalistic variety of work…well done again my friend :)
Paul Louis Vil...
Your photographic work, as per usual, is sublime!
Where I stand on this subject… fence sitter.
You know what I do for a crust, so my past has had me dealing with people leaving one venue and then trying to enter other venues in the early hours… sometimes it’s better for these people to go home.
Angela McConnell
6 – now where have we seen him before…of course at the pillowfight!! very nice editorial shots mark!

That guy is everywhere!
As usual Mark, excellent work! You have a wonderful eye for the perfect shot!
Personally, I find 4, 12 and 14 to be my faves. 14 really conveys the scene in it’s entirety.
Well done!
Lam Tran
Excellent journalism shot! Great lighting and b/w images
Erin Lyall
These are really fantastic shots, Mark, and I love the black and white…
Such a stupid excuse for a rally though, I wonder if any of these people rallied to stop the war? It’s a bit extreme, society has gone mad. Basic civil liberties include the right to water, food, housing, health services etc… not the right to bar hop after 2am.
Stephen Colquitt
Nice series (as always) – I was watching the protest from my office on Friday. Didnt see you scurrying around though, but saw plenty of camera flashes as the sun fell in the park.
Joanne Bradley
Great comment on the urban environment!
