Very nice shot. The details is great, and the eyes are…........well they just are wondering.

Beautiful kid and beautiful portrait as ever, Mark. You got “With a Little Help from My Friends” stuck in my head, though.

He is adorable!
I love the serenity of it the pensiveness of his expression is he thinking of his future or just of the promised lollie for being still? lol
I wonder when he is a man … a big corporate mogul with money to burn or a National Parks Ranger making sure the bush is safe for it’s inhabitants … and someone takes another shot of him in this pose … would he look just as wistful … as wise?
Gorgeous shot mate I love it!
Let it be is on the radio and now that’s stuck in my head! <)

Eureka! I finally figured it out!
You are Lucifer, and in the guise of a mild mannered (ok… it’s just a figure of speech) photographer you are working on your master plan, stealing the souls of all the hapless people you photograph to form your army for the ultimate showdown with the Creator who cast you aside.
Don’t bother to deny it.
That is all.

Ha! Yeah I got your number… knew there had to be an otherworldly reason for your freakish talent.

This is a beautiful portrait. I go with Louise’s comment ‘quietly intense’. The kid somehow looks so worldly. I liked your laughing shots too.
Lisa Jewell
Mesmerising in a glorious eerie way, which might not make sense….the light reveals an old soul….

Nice of you to bring that to my attention.

He certainly is a beautiful boy :)
Hard to tell at that age sometimes. Especially with his gorgeous curly hair :)
Dennis Gay
G’day Mark,
In this portrait your model holds a “street urchin like” quality with his slightly grubby face and toussled hair and has a quite enigamtic expression.
Very good rapport between the two of you and the eye contact is most intense.
Very well framed/cropped/composed to intensify “the look” and make the most of the great lighting affect.
Nicely exposed, good depth of field and the focus seems to be quite adequate for such a portrait with the eyes being exceptionally sharp.
B&W is a great choice for the mood and lighting and the image holds a very good tonal range and contrast.
Good work that man!
