I remember my childhood and think of it everyday. But being Peter Pan’s brother thats easy to do.

Mark, this is really an amazing picture. The title grabbed me first… Another World… I saw the kid sitting there seemingly absorbed in his own world and deep in thought, and it’s almost as if the balloons have the job of looking around the corner to see if it’s OK for him too come out of his shell and play in the big world. Don’t know if I got anything out of this like you intended, but it made me think and look twice which is what an image with special impact does… a true rarity in a place like RB where talent flows free and at full throttle.

But there’s more. I love the way you kept your colors withing the blue to red range and managed to get so many wonderful nuances in between… and the way you’ve got a separate composition going in each of the two “frames” is masterful. The more I think about this picture, the more it blows me away. This is the art of straight forward photography at its best and it’s going straight into my favs. Nice work Mark!

wow.. it seems like the ballons are going away from him, they need to go with the flow.. but he doesn’t look at them, he doesnt enjoy them.. like if he knows that to enjoy them, they have to enjoy him, but they’re trying to escape from him.. so he just pretend not to notice their will and just keep keep his hand tight on the lace..
it could be a summary of life..
