This is a great shot for the following reasons:
1. Great lighting.. the fringe highlights, shadows and exposure spot on
2. Subject – evokes childhood and all we associate with it such as innocent fun, joy and exuberance
3. Mono – this kind of image works best IMHO in mono without the distraction of colours that dominate others
