Industrial Light & Magic
Industrial Light & Magic
This photo was taken using a combination of hand held soft filters – homemade, actually. It has not been colourised with image-editing software. What you see, is what I took.

Can I say “nice use of home-mad filters”, then? Kind of looks like a tropical sunset, albeit with truncated, mechanical palms.

“nice use of home-mad filters”
hahaha – when you put it like that ;)
Jason Moses
Ah, that’s what I get for paying so much attention to other people’s spelling and grammar. Yes, I like how you used those filters that are crazy about home =)
Kitsmumma
I hate getting photoshop comments when I don’t even have it too.

A couple of coloured cellophane wrappers, and a pair of cheap service station sunglasses :)
Erin Lyall
Gorgeous colours, Mark.. it’s absolutely stunning.
Natsky
Who cares how, just as long as it IS!
Have been playing with cellophane myself, but nothing as dramatic or as well executed as this. Love that hard contrast of the silhouette against the saturation of colours. Brilliant.
Christina Martin
beautiful work should market the filter :)

There is something about doing it with practical filters in camera that PS doesn’t quite manage to capture. Nicely done. I am rather a fan of these industrial sunsets :)
