Amazing capture Mark… I love that you can see each indiviual pinion in the birds feathers, and it is an unusual flight position which adds to its uniqueness.

The Tammy 17-50mm is a very sharp lens – and very affordable. It is , however, EFS mount – so cropped-sensor cameras only (all the xxxD & xxD, but not 5D/1D)

Made for Canon and Nikon, and around $450 grey market. Very good value.

Wow that is stunning – its like a painting.
The bird seems frozen in time and the delicate nature of the light seems to have given it a fragility that you wouldnt normally see.
