While on an assignment in Tashkent Uzbekistan we paid a visit to Independence Square…
Formerly known as “Krasnaya Ploschad” (Red Square) complete with a statue of Lenin, the square is now a peaceful hub of Tashkent, with hundreds of fountains, trees and memorials to the victims of II WW.
This park-like setting draws wedding couples and parties – like this one – for photo shoots. Dressed in their finery they welcome “other” photographers, like me, to make their photo as it adds stature to them in their friends eyes!
