This is our small local volunteer Fire-station here at Upper Corindi were I live….its celebrating its 10th anniversary today!!! It was thanks to a lovely old lady who owned the piece of land and donated it to them…and who also bequethed money to its running in her ‘will’ that has helped keep it going !!! The first “offical’ fire fought here years ago was done with one donated “nap-sack” and gum bushes!!!

Happy Tenth Anniversary Sherwood. Creek Rural Fire Brigade! I love how this shows us some parts of your part of the world. I think I am finally understanding that your are in a “rural” area. Being somewhat of a city gal, it is hard for me to grasp the concept. LOL. Stores, malls, libraries, etc. have always been no less than a couple of miles away from me. The vastness of your area amazes me. Love it, Deb!

Hi Sue…Yep..its a very small rural area I’m in…but only 10 minutes from the beach and local store & PO…and about 35 min from the nearest large town ..Coffs Harbour!! It has its benifits and drawbacks!!! LOL..lovely and peaceful (most the time!) hard to just get a “quick’ take-away though!! LOL…Thanks Sue!! *-)
