Capertee Valley Panorama by Deborah McGrath

Photographic Prints

Available to buy on…

The Capertee Valley, NSW Australia in the Blue Mountains, taken from Pearsons Lookout off the Castlereagh Highway, Capertee. The Capertee area is on the Great Dividing Range. A truly magical place.

The Capertee Valley is the second largest canyon in the world, 1km wider than the Grand Canyon and longer. However, no where near as deep. It also has the largest bird population per square kilometer in the southern hemisphere and is the home of the endangered Regent Honeyeater.

This panorama was taken at 7.34am on 14 December.

Sony DSLR A200, 18-70mm lens at 26mm using a monopod. Five images were stitched together to achieve this panorama in Photoshop CS4. No colour altering or enhancing has been applied.

  • Thanks Kim, its a difficult place to capture as it always has a haze. But, I’m really pleased with this one.
