I believe this is the Isopogon Anethifolius or Narrow- Leafed Drumsticks. This image was taken at Bracey’s Lookout, Lithgow NSW in the Blue Mountains just after a fire.

More likely to be I. anemonifolius than I. anethifolius. Isopogon anethifolius has very slender, terete (round in section) ultimate leaf segments, like a Petrophile, while the leaflets here are evidently quite flattened.

  • Thanks Greg, I appreciated your letting me know. As much as I love the beauty of the subjects I photograph, I’m a novice when it comes to knowing what they are. It’s great when someone provides you with a bit of information about it.
