Gliding (Acrylic)
I feel sharks are peaceful by nature and being over fished, killed by nets, and by finning ( fishermen take all the fins of of the shark and throw the shark back into the water alive and unable to swim, there are no regulatons on this activity). You are more likely to be hit by lightning then to be bit by a shark. Sharks usually only bite because they mistake humans for their favorite food the seal. If people don’t help the shark they will be come exstinct in the near future. I feel they are very graceful creatures and should be protected. Please go to
Sharkwater to find out more on sharks and how they are being mistreated. Half of the mark up amount will go to seashepherd to help to preserve this glaceful creature.—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-——

I do agree, I feel that the shark has a bad reputation that has been over done. I don’t like shows that portray animals as vicious creatures. Most animals try to avoid humans

I agree with you, Deborah. Sharks are so gentle and afraid of humans. Unfortunately, the film industry has marred the true nature of this great creature. Victims of the fishing industry and of a poor understanding of its nature, they need to be protected.
Thank you for the information provided and a warm welcome to the group Art for Conservation.

Thank you so much for using your beautiful artwork to inform people about the plight of these animals. I agree that they are peaceful by nature. Like all creatures, they have to eat to live, and we shouldn’t begrudge them that, but instead just treat them with respect. Well done with this. :)

This beautiful creature with a gentle nature is victimised and suffers from misconcept. You bring awareness to its cause in a lovely rendering of the Shark.
Thank you for adding this exquisite image and information along your pledge to Art for Conservation.
