This is probably one of the most special, sweetest things I have witnessed and photographed in nature. This male yearling and his mom cuddled and groomed one another for at least 10 minutes. They were only about 20 yards away and weren’t at all afraid of me. I sat down on a log and watched them the whole time. I then walked around a bit to see if she perhaps had a fawn nearby. I didn’t see one. This series of photos are only 3 of about 40 I took.
you were lucky to be able to sit there with them, you must have been alone and the tourons werent around, excellent handling of detail and exposure, tough situtation you were shooting in, in and between the trees
This is so sweet, a very emotive image! Great capture Deb! It must have been a lovely feeling, sitting there with them, knowing they weren’t afraid! :) Very special!
