Debbie Sickler
Profile
I am an at home mother of three boys who enjoys writing and photography. I’ve written numerous short stories which have been published both online and in print. Recently, I completed the rough draft of my first novel, “Ne’Ikio’s Journey”, and am in the revision stage.
I love macro and portrait photography. A couple of my photos have won contests and I’m currently working with my first client to design the cover of her novel, “Out of the Shadows.”
I am currently uploading many of my photos from another site, which have been downsized. The full sized versions for most should be saved on my external memory which is not available at the moment, but I will try to switch over to the full sized files as soon as possible. If anyone sees a photo they would like to purchase, but it is too small, please send me bubble mail and I’ll upload the full sized file ASAP!

Deceitful Lover
I lay in bed at night. / Depression comes; / A frequent visitor. He creeps into my mind. / Ravages my soul. / Leaves me empty. Empty, except for his lies.
Lex Talionis
He was alone, just as instructed. No one to interfere or interrupt. Staring into the tall flame, he felt that it was time. “I am ready, oh Dark Lord…”
Set Free at Kionawah
I cower and tremble as my mother is ripped from her chains and forced into the night. I will not see her again. Soon, new cries fill the sky. I can do little but wait for the monster’s return.
Teatime at Auntie Ethel’s
Walking into Auntie Ethel’s house, Kira’s nostrils were typically assaulted with the pungent aroma of pine cleaner and mothballs. Except for on Thursdays. Thursdays were their tea days.
Petals of Patience
“That’s it, just like that. Good! Now hold your thumbs together and aim for the center. Press gently, but firmly, and start sinking a well.”
Priorities
“Well, I am a married women, so it’s not like we were gonna do it here! The motel was just down ‘round the corner. An’ I knew I wasn’t gonna be gone long- only takes but a minute…
