What a lovely painting and a fabulous memory.

  • The photo of the painting really does not do it justice. My sister painted this from a picture I took and it looks exactly like the picture. I surprised my husand with this painting for Christmas ( a few months after the dog had died). It was one of the few times that he has cried. He had the dog before we married and she was about 18 years old.

Thank you for adding this beautiful image to our Group. I am sorry that she is no longer with us. She was so lovely.

As this is the month of dear Birdie’s anniversary, she becomes a feature. Please also feel free to write something in our Anniversaries Forum.

  • Thank you. She lived a long and happy life. Luckily she went on her own while my husband was sitting by her basket.

Oh Debbie Its heartbreaking when we have to let them go…we love them so much…
But I am always so pleased that pups such as your Birdie was so loved and adore
    and had a great live…she was gorgeous….Laura

  • Thank you, Laura. My husband and I always joke that if there is such a think as reincarnation we want to come back as an animal that is treated like on or our pets. :)
