It gives me the greatest pleasure to be the very first to comment on this beautiful portrait of Kate Bush. Looking at her lips makes me feel she is about to burst into song or blow me a kiss for my birthday :)) Thanx for the birthday song; you made me smile.

It goes without saying that this is going straight into my favourites.

  • You are very kind Dave thank you and I hope you are enjoying your birthday, have fun

Coloured pencil is not a medium I use very often (hardly ever,) but this doesn’t mean that I am not just mesmerized by this piece of art.
This is so beautiful. Very well done.

  • Thank you so much Jim, I so glad you were mesmerized

you really captured those Otherworldly eyes of hers quite remarkablly .. beautiful rendering
(and do tell – what exactly is Stonehenge paper- are there little dolmens on it? ;P)

  • Thank you, Stonehenge paper is from your neck of the woods actually America. I had heard good reports that it was an excellent surface for coloured pencils but have not been able to get it in England before now so this is my first attempt with it, it has a lovely vellum quality to it and feels more like you are using pastels. I do love your idea of it having little dolmens on it though

I know, I know…….I’m so lazy. I have been on 3rd shift at work, 12 hr days since I have been on redbubble but I’m now back on 1st shift and a regular 8 hr day. I plan to do some drawing when I get my house back in order. Thanks for the comment ;^)
