The inspiration for Meltdown came from the fascination of watching candles drip and a lava lamp flow. The image is drawn using high quality coloured pencils on to smooth surface cartridge paper.

Great picture! I am also a drawer, but you are incredibly talented. I just love your colouring tequnique, I’ve been trying to achieve that same thing. What brand of pencil do you use?

HI Persephoni, Thank you for your comments. I use Berol Karisma pencils which alas are now discontinued. Prismacolor are available and I’m told they are the same pencils in a different casing.
