A Journey With The Pencil

Sometimes it is really nice to just draw without any pre-conceived ideas. This drawing started as a doodle of a face and developed by making patterns from the contours of the face,

Grade B pencil on smooth cartridge paper

Reminds me of the tribe in Africa where the women place rings around their necks in order to stretch them. Turned out pretty good just to be doodling. LOL Really nice drawing, Deb.

  • Deborah Holman replied

Funny you should say that Jim when I started the initial drawing I had been looking at a figurine I have of such a woman and it was only when you mentioned it that I too saw the connection.
