Reflective Moments
I painted this in transparent watercolour on 300gsm Bockingfords w/c paper using W/N paints.
This is my niece Sam having a reflective moment and seemed distant in her thoughts…. We were away on holiday in Mozambique a few years back and when I saw her leaning like this against the Palm tree in front of the house I could not miss this ideal photo opportunity!

Thank you so much Sharon… It took about 2 days to do…. quite long for me as I like doing paintings quickly… But I was enjoying this one so much!

Thank you Shirley. This is a magical place. I was standing up on the balcony of this holiday home about 3m away from Sam….... so you can get a sense of how close to the beach this home is situated… it’s awesome!
