I believe I have found my unique artistic point of view by working with mixed media on canvas. I utilize collage to represent the underlying emotion in my work. Newspapers, magazines, old comics, advertisements and the like have all found their way into my paintings. I embrace the idea of recasting remnants of the past and giving them a new more contemporary role to play. My figures and flowers are painted in acrylic and work together with the collage to convey the overall emotional expression. The two parts to my process are always integrated. Even though I allow my approach to the collage to be loose, it is still crafted in such a way to tell the story of the images it is composed with. The collage and the figures become one. One media informing the other. Opposite but the same. The organic embracing the industrial. The emotional embracing the analytical. I believe that my art should have soulful messages that stir emotions. And that the viewer’s interpretation is the final element to all my pieces.

I have showcased my work at the Strychnin Gallery in Berlin, Germany, Gallery Azul in San Pedro, CA, Bradford Gallery in Newport Beach, CA, Woods of Oz Gallery in Santa Fe, NM, Gallery 104 in San Clemente, CA and many others. I live in Southern California with my husband and two children.
