XIII & VII by

oil on mahogany
2, 5×3ft panels

*Like any relationship one must compensate for the others weakness. 7 and 13 together create 20, which can be seen as two wholes (two tens). Thirteen is very often seen as an unlucky number and seven is viewed as lucky. This painting demonstrates the give and take of any relationship and reliance of another for perfection.
