Laguna Hedionda, Nor Lípez Province, Bolivia, South America.
Taken with Canon IXUS 80.
Laguna Hedionda is a saline lake in the Nor Lípez Province, Potosí Department in Bolivia. It is notable for various migratory species of pink and white flamingos. The lake, for many years, was also called “Stinking Lake” and appeared on most maps with this name. The Spanish version of the name La Laguna Grande Hedionda means “a spring of sulphur-tainted water near the lake.”
