Boy i bet you had sore feet by the time you made it to there, with all those rocks.Brilliant capture Dean.

  • actually my calves were killing me for 3 days after this. they say its an easy walk and i consider myself a good walker, but this is a lot harder than they say. its a nice scenic hike though. thanks a bunch jude !

Excellent picture Dean! It may not be the Andes or Himalayas, but it’s some of the oldest scenery in the world and most spectacular areas of Oz. You don’t expect to see a lake up here! :)george

It’s a great walk, been on it a number of times and one time we had to almost run to catch the last chairlift down to Thredbo! And another time in February 2005, there was a heavy snowfall – yes in the middle of summer – and we had to turn back as the trail was under snow.
Lovely blue colour of lake and distant ranges.
Oh yes, I have the same camera! Cheers.

  • thanks a lot charles – it was the first time i have been down there in about 20 years and i loved every minute of it. was there between xmas and new year for 6 days and went out hiking and taking pics each day. such a beautiful area. sounds like you have had some adventures haha !
