Cholatse (6501m) and Tawoche Peak (6542m), Sagarmartha National Park, Nepal.
Taken with Canon IXUS 80.
Cholatse was first climbed via the southwest ridge on April 22, 1982 by Vern Clevenger, Galen Rowell, John Roskelley and Bill O’Connor. The north face was successfully scaled in 1984.
Specatcular landscapes, what an amazing place Dean. I’m familiar with Galen Rowell’s photography but didn’t realize he was a serious mountain climber as well!
thanks a lot bill, this is actually one of my personal fav nepal pics, i love the peaks and the whole area is awesome. yeah maybe he was the photographer for the expedition !
