Gyeongbokgung, also known as Gyeongbokgung Palace or Gyeongbok Palace, is a royal palace located in northern Seoul, South Korea. First constructed in 1394 and reconstructed in 1867, it was the main and largest palace of the Five Grand Palaces built by the Joseon Dynasty. The name of the palace, Gyeongbokgung, translates in English as “Palace of Shining Happiness.”

  • haha yeah mate. its been my passion for the past 8 years. So many good things come out of traveling and photograpahy is one really good thing about it. im thinking of a quiet one next year buty im sure ill change my mind !

    I have this same place in the winter snow on my page. It is beautiful. I go visit the place from time to time.

  • oh yeah thats crazy haha – great work christian. i loved this place and took a heap of pics of the palace. i was in korea & japan in a heatwave but would love to go back there in winter to check it out. i have travelled a fair bit and id say korea and japan are both very high on my been to lists ! thanks a bunch christian !
