We are Dee & Ronnie Ross (a husband & wife team) and we work together to make De-aRt photography.
A few years ago we accidentally discovered photography when Dee was looking for a medium to aid her in her oil paintings. However the photography bug bit us hard and we have never looked back. We love dramatic landscapes, seascapes and abstracts and since we live in Northern Ireland and have family in Scotland, these are available in abundance.
For us there is a story behind each image and each viewer will interpret an image in their own way. Thus, the story differs from the person who creates it to the person who views it. We are emotionally attached to each of our images and if they evoke emotion in others then we feel that they are successful.
We don’t make any grandiose claims about life, the universe and everything – for us, it’s simple; we enjoy what we do and we love making images of places and things we find beautiful, inspirational and moving. Photography has given us the opportunity to find beauty in places that one would least expect and to visit some truly beautiful places and really see them. As most of you will agree, no location is ever the same twice.
Finally, we wish to introduce our faithful, ageing and nosey pup, Nika, in case you were wondering what the picture was!
